Hi, Iâm Lou
Here's a bit about how I got here.Â
With over 20 years of experience in the insurance sector, I have dedicated myself to supporting clients during their time of need while navigating insurance claims. In 2015, I made a pivotal decision to venture beyond the confines of my comfort zone. This marked the beginning of a transformative journey where I devoted time to introspection, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of myself and clarify my career aspirations.
Throughout my career, I discovered a profound passion for aiding others. I firmly believe that the cornerstone of effective assistance lies in our ability to comprehend ourselves first, thereby ensuring that we are well-equipped to provide meaningful support to others.
While continuing my journey within the insurance sector, I transitioned into roles within Human Resources and Learning & Development. It was during this phase that I discovered my calling in coaching and therapies, recognising the diverse modalities they encompass. Interestingly, in my earlier years, someone suggested that my aptitude aligned with the role of a counsellor.
Previously, anxiety had a profound impact on me, leaving me feeling helpless and disconnected from my true self. However, through receiving the necessary support and cultivating a shift in self-belief, I've come to realise a strength within myself that I had underestimated. It's my earnest desire to extend this empowerment to others facing similar challenges.

What's in the name?
When I started to think of what name to give my sideline, I realised it was staring right at me.
With my name being Lou and appreciating everyone is unique, on my LinkedIn profile I added a background image with the universe and the words Loving Our Uniqueness. It could also be Living Our Uniqueness we strive to be ourselves and avoid comparing to others.
This didnât quite fit as a business name for me. I always say you do you as well all unique in one way or another.
With being a transformational coach and therapist Youâre Unique (Coaching & Therapies) was set đ.
